THE SPANISH GUITAR

The spanish guitar is an instrument of the string family. It has 6 strings. It consists of a body, a fretboard a neck, an headstock and a bridge. The cithara is the ancestor of the guitar. Paco de Lucia is considered the best guitarist and one of the most representative and important flamenco figures. There are a lot of compositions for guitar, the most famous and beautiful are: Asturias of Albeniz, Recuerdos de la Alhambra of Francisco Tárrega, Concierto de Aranjuez of Joaquín Rodrigo, Capricho Árabe of Francisco Tárrega and Spanish Romance (anonymus). In this page we can find a lot of scores for Spanish guitar. In the video we can hear the Concerto of Aranjuez played for the great Paco de Lucia.
